What if we can’t travel to you because of the weather?

Unless we have to cancel events because of the weather, they will go ahead and so we
can’t refund or transfer bookings. In the unlikely event that an event has to be cancelled,
you will be offered a 100% refund or an alternative date/location.

Do you offer free parking?

Yes, we have ample on-site parking at The Coed-y-Mwstwr and The New House. We
have a large car park at The Bear, where spaces are subject to availability.

How do I order a taxi?

We would strongly recommend booking a taxi in advance of your event as they are in
very short supply at this time of year and particularly at The Bear. This is why all our
hotels offer special discounted bed and breakfast rates for everyone celebrating over
the festive season with us from 1st to 23rd December (subject to availability).

Can I book Christmas Day lunch if I am not a hotel guest?

Are you open to non-residents on Christmas Day just for a drink?

We are open on Christmas Day to residents only and open for our sittings for Christmas
Day only.

When do you need our menu choices?

Menu selections are required four weeks before the event.

Do you need to know about any dietary requirements ahead of the event?

Yes. Please let us know 4 weeks in advance of any vegetarian, vegan or allergen dietary
requirements.

Do you offer any alternatives to the set menu?

With advance notice we can certainly cater for all dietary requirements. However, we
are unable to provide alternatives to the set menu outside of those requirements.

What are your payment terms?

Full prepayment is required to secure your booking. One payment method only per party
booking is required. If your plans change, you will receive a full refund up until 14 days
before the event. All payments received are non-refundable and non-transferable if
bookings are cancelled within 14 days of the event. Any refunds will be refunded to the
original payment method and the lead name on the booking. Please note that no
refunds can be authorised without correspondence from the lead name on booking.
All Prices shown include VAT. If they become subject to any relevant taxes/levies at the
current prevailing rate in force on the date of the event, these will become payable.
Prices advertised are subject to change prior to booking.

Someone has dropped out. How do I reduce the number of people in my party?

Please contact us on 01446 774814 to let us know. However, please note that, should
your party size decrease within 14 days of the event, payments are non-refundable and
non-transferable, and so cannot be offset against food, drinks or accommodation.

Can you send me a Christmas brochure?

We don’t have a printed Christmas brochure, with all information relating to festive
stays and celebrations on our website.

What if you have to change or cancel an event?

We reserve the right to combine Christmas events to ensure minimum numbers are
met. In that unlikely event, you will be contacted in plenty of time.
In the unlikely event that an event has to be cancelled, you will be offered a 100% refund
or an alternative date/location.

Will we all be seated together?

We will do our best to sit groups together. Large groups will be seated as close together
as possible and smaller groups may be combined to form a larger table.

We welcome everyone and always seek to meet requirements. However, some parts of
our venues have limited disabled access owing to their historic nature. If you require
assistance, please inform us beforehand. If we cannot accommodate the requirements
at your chosen event, we will endeavour to advise an alternative venue.
